1. Scope of Application
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the Good Homestory website and to all agreements and interactions between Good Homestory ("we," "us," "our") and you ("you," "User," or "Client") regarding our interior design, home styling, and related services.
By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. Description of Services
Good Homestory provides:
- Interior design and home styling services: We help you design and style homes and interiors that reflect your culture, routines, chaos, and calm, including space planning, layout, material and colour selection, and furniture and decor recommendations.
- End-to-end project execution (where offered): Depending on the scope, we may coordinate and manage execution with vendors and contractors (such as carpenters, electricians, and modular vendors) to implement the agreed design.
- Consultations and advisory services: We provide design consultations, moodboards, concept presentations, and other advisory services to help you make informed decisions about your space.
- Online and digital experiences: We may provide digital guides, design content, tools, or other resources through our website or communication channels.
Our services are described on our website, in our proposals, and in any plan or agreement you select. Specific scope, deliverables, timelines, and pricing are set out in your chosen package, proposal, or written agreement and form part of your agreement with us.
We do not guarantee specific outcomes such as increase in property value, rental income, or any particular emotional or aesthetic response. Design is subjective, and results depend on many factors we do not control, including construction quality, maintenance, and how the space is ultimately used. Our role is to provide professional design and styling services—not to promise results no service can guarantee.
3. Account, Onboarding, and Engagement
3.1 Account and Accuracy
You may submit an enquiry, book a consultation, or (where available) sign up and create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information (including contact details and project-related information) so we can deliver our services and communicate with you.
3.2 Onboarding and Preferences
To use our design and styling services, you may need to complete onboarding (for example, sharing details about your home, floor plans, site photos or videos, style preferences, and budget). You are responsible for ensuring that the information and materials you provide are accurate, that you have the right to share them, and that any measurements or site conditions you provide reflect reality as closely as possible. We will use this information to design and deliver services in line with what we have agreed with you.
3.3 No Obligation Until Agreement
Browsing our website or submitting an enquiry does not create a binding contract. A contract for paid services is formed when you accept a proposal, quotation, or package (for example, by confirming in writing, paying an advance, or completing purchase) and we confirm your booking or engagement in accordance with our payment and signup process.
4. Your Obligations
When using our website or services, you agree to:
- Use our website and communication channels only for lawful purposes
- Provide accurate and complete information when submitting enquiries, onboarding, or engaging us for a project
- Not misuse our name, branding, or content without our written permission
- Respect our intellectual property and that of our partners and service providers
- Not use our services to harass, defame, or harm others or to submit false or misleading information
- Use the service only for your own home or property (or that of an entity you are authorized to represent); you may not resell or repurpose our services for third parties unless we agree in writing
- Provide timely feedback, decisions, and approvals so that we can progress the project as agreed
- Ensure that, where on-site work is involved, the site is reasonably accessible and safe for our team and vendors
5. Fees, Payment, and Cancellation
5.1 Fees and Plans
Fees for our services are as set out on our website, proposals, or specific package you select. Depending on the service, we may offer fixed-fee packages, phased payments linked to milestones, or other structures we communicate to you. All amounts are in the currency specified (typically INR) and exclude applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
5.2 Payment Terms
- Payment terms (for example, booking/advance amounts, milestone payments, and due dates) will be specified in your proposal, invoice, or plan and any confirmation we send you
- You authorize us to charge the payment method you provide, or you agree to make payments, in accordance with the agreed schedule
- Late or failed payment may result in suspension or termination of services and/or delays to project progress, as set out in our billing and plan terms
- You are responsible for any bank, transfer, or payment gateway fees where applicable
5.3 Cancellation and Refunds
- Cancellation by you: You may cancel a project or service in accordance with the process and timelines set out in your agreement or in our communications (for example, by writing to us or following the steps we share). Certain fees, such as design fees for work already completed or non-recoverable vendor costs, may remain payable.
- Refunds: We aim to be fair and transparent. If you are not satisfied, contact us with your details and we will review your request. Refunds, if any, will be subject to our stated refund policy and may take into account work already completed, time invested, and third-party commitments. Some fees (for example, initial consultation or design fees) may be non-refundable where we have clearly stated so before you confirm.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your access to our website or services if you breach these Terms, for non-payment, or for other legitimate reasons we communicate to you. We may also discontinue a plan or service on reasonable notice, and will clarify any impact on ongoing projects where applicable.
6. Intellectual Property
- Our content: All content on our website and in our materials—including text, images, logos, photographs, designs, layouts, and graphics—is owned by Good Homestory or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
- Designs and deliverables: Design concepts, drawings, 3D renders, layouts, and other deliverables we create for you are prepared for your project. Subject to full and timely payment of applicable fees, we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use them for your own home or property. We may retain copies for our records and to improve our services in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Your materials: You grant us a license to use the materials you provide (for example, floor plans, photos, videos, inspiration images, and brand assets) solely to deliver our services and as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the right to share these materials with us.
7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
7.1 Nature of Service
We are an interior design and home styling service. We are not responsible for:
- Structural, electrical, plumbing, or other base-building issues that pre-exist or arise independently of our design
- The acts or omissions of contractors, vendors, or third parties (even where we introduce or coordinate them), as they operate as independent entities
- Variations between visual representations (for example, 3D renders or moodboards) and the final executed work due to material availability, lighting, execution differences, or site conditions
- Events outside our control, including delays caused by vendors, supply chain issues, regulatory or society permissions, or force majeure events
- Decisions or actions you or third parties take that differ from our recommendations or that we did not supervise or control
7.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our website or services shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, job opportunities, data, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability; in those jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
8. Data Protection
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our website or services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described there.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we may notify you by email or through our website. Continued use of our website or services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the location we specify in our agreement or communications with you, to the extent permitted by law.
